Supporting Our Community: Nourish Foodbank & Tunbridge Wells Business Awards

At Groombridge Farm Shop, community has always been at the heart of what we do. November has been a busy month full of celebration and collaboration, reminding us how important local connections truly are. From supporting the incredible work of Nourish Community Foodbank to being shortlisted in the Tunbridge Wells Business Awards, we wanted to share a little more about what’s been happening behind the scenes.

🤝 Standing with Nourish Community Foodbank

Earlier this month, we were honoured to take part in the Nourish “Ready Steady Cook” charity event, joining a group of local businesses for a lively cook-off inspired by the contents of Nourish food parcels. It was a fantastic evening, full of creativity, teamwork, and a wonderful sense of purpose. We also had the privilege of helping judge the dishes—no easy task with so many talented cooks in the room!

But beyond the fun, the event highlighted an urgent issue.
Nourish currently has only 25% of the food donations it received this time last year.
At a time of increased need, this shortfall puts real pressure on the charity’s ability to support families across Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas.

To do our part, Groombridge Farm Shop has now committed to monthly donations to help Nourish purchase essential items for their emergency food parcels. We’re also encouraging other businesses to consider joining the scheme. Even small, regular contributions make a meaningful impact when pooled together.

🏆 Tunbridge Wells Business Awards: Celebrating Local Success

In the same spirit of community pride, we were thrilled to be shortlisted as finalists in the Retail Business of the Year category at the Tunbridge Wells Business Awards 2025. To be recognised among so many outstanding local businesses is a privilege, and we’re deeply grateful. 

We're also thrilled to share that Groombridge Farm Shop won Retail Business of the Year. This award means the world to us. It reflects the hard work of our small but mighty team and, most importantly, the support of our wonderful customers who have helped shape Groombridge Farm Shop into the community hub it is today.
